Peanut Butter Monster Apple Bites

Peanut Butter Monster Apple Bites

A simple and fun recipe you can enjoy making with your kids—just cut, spread, and decorate!

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆ (Very Easy)

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 1 medium apple (red or green)
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • Mini marshmallows – as needed
  • Peanut butter – as needed
  • Chocolate pen – as needed

Instructions

1.Decorate the marshmallows:

Use the chocolate pen to draw eyes on the mini marshmallows. (Tip: cut them in half and let dry before drawing.)

2.Cut the apple:

Wash the apple thoroughly and cut it into 12 wedges. Remove the core.

3.Prevent browning:

Soak the apple wedges in a bowl of water with lemon juice for about 2 minutes. Then pat them dry with paper towels.

4.Spread the peanut butter:

Apply peanut butter to the inner side of two wedges for each bite. For best results, spread it thick enough to hold its shape.

5.Assemble the “mouth”:

Place mini marshmallows (as teeth) on one slice, then sandwich with another peanut-butter-coated apple slice.

6.Finish the face:

Attach the decorated marshmallow “eyes” on top of the apple using a dab of peanut butter.
