About the Woodworker: Masashi Uda Masashi Uda is a woodworker from Chiba, now based in the mountains of Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture. He began studying design at the age of fifteen, exploring everything from interiors and furniture to display. After working for a prop company making television sets, he became disheartened watching his creations be discarded. Seeking more lasting meaning, he shifted to furniture-making, where he continues to find joy in creating pieces meant to be used and appreciated for years to come.
